Draw and Paint the Splendor of Nature & Beautiful Things

I like drawing and painting, but most of all I love printmaking.
My favorite drawing mediums are charcoal, colcored pencil, oil pastel;
and my favorite printmaking technique is intaglio.
The subjects for the majority of my work are still life, flowers and fruits.
The variations of their colors and shapes intrigue me.
I like the anticipation of an image coming alive as the work develops.
I look for things that ignite emotions from within me.
I challenge myself to recreate what I see and at the same time
display a little of me from within.
My works are representational, a form of realism sometimes altered
through my own personal interpretation.
In order to become a good artist I must master realistic drawing first and then
expand and interpret that realism using my own observations, thoughts and feelings.
To become an artist is a life-long endeavor, a gathering of experience,
a journey of inspiration and creativity.
Inspiring Masters’ quotes: –

“The things I want to express are so beautiful and pure…” (M. C. Escher)
“Drawing is the basis of art. A bad painter cannot draw. But one who draws well can always paint.” (Arshile Gorky)
“I’m interested in drawing what I see, not what I know” (William Turner)
Draw till you get it right.” (Wayne Thiebaud)
“For I am nearly convinced, that once we see keenly enough, there is very little difficult in drawing what we see” (John Ruskin)
“Drawing itself is a part of learning to use one’s eyes to see more intensely.” (Henry Moore)
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” (Aristotle)
